As we close the door on 2025, I’m not rushing into resolutions.
I’m not making a 30-day plan.
And I’m definitely not forcing clarity that hasn’t landed yet.
Instead, I’m choosing something deeper: designing your life with intention in 2026 — thoughtfully, honestly, and from a place of presence rather than pressure.
If you’re anything like me, you might be feeling a mix of emotions right now — a little tired, a little tender, a little wiser… but also more ready than you’ve ever been. Whether this year brought expansion or exhaustion (or both), the truth is: you made it. And that alone deserves to be honored.
2025 Was a Teacher — Even When It Was Hard
2025 asked a lot of me. Personally, spiritually, and professionally.
It was a year of transformation I didn’t fully anticipate — one that included major life changes, challenging family dynamics, and moments in business that felt like pushing uphill in the dark. There were wins, yes — but many of them felt quiet. Like whispers instead of fireworks.
And that taught me something important:
Not every breakthrough needs applause to matter.
Some of the most meaningful growth happens when no one is watching — when you’re learning to trust yourself again, releasing expectations, setting boundaries, resting when you’d normally push, and being honest about what you can and can’t carry.
If 2025 stretched you, I want you to ask yourself this question before rushing ahead:
What do you want to thank this year for — even if it was painful?
Because lessons don’t cancel out the difficulty. They give it meaning.
Intention Isn’t Perfection — It’s Presence
As I look toward 2026, I’m not focused on doing more.
I’m focused on being more present.
Intention isn’t about getting everything “right.”
It’s about being grounded in what’s real — right now.
What’s working in your life?
What isn’t?
What feels supportive… and what quietly drains you?
The same way we design homes around how people actually live — not how they think they should live — we have to design our lives around truth, not pressure.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
You need alignment.
And sometimes, you need room to breathe long enough to hear yourself again.
Designing for Your Nervous System
One of the biggest shifts I’ve made — both in design and in life — is thinking about the nervous system.
How does your space make you feel when you walk in the door?
Calm? Or overstimulated?
Held? Or hurried?
Intentional design isn’t just about beauty. It’s about how your body responds to your environment.
When your nervous system can rest, everything functions better — your sleep, your creativity, your decision-making, your health. That’s why lighting matters. Texture matters. Sound matters. Rituals matter.
And it’s also why I’ve shifted away from rigid routines and toward intentional rituals — asking myself questions like:
-
Am I actually hungry, or just rushing?
-
Do I need coffee right now, or would green tea support me better?
-
Is this a yes… or am I forcing it?
Presence changes everything.
From Reactive to Intentional Living
2026, for me, is about moving from reactive to intentional — across every area of life.
That means:
-
Choosing creativity over constant urgency
-
Resting without guilt
-
Setting boundaries that protect energy
-
Collaborating with people who feel aligned
-
And yes — having more fun
Creativity isn’t extra. It’s essential.
If something feels heavy, draining, or unclear, it’s a pause.
If it feels like a “heck yes,” I’m in.
That filter alone changes everything.
Small Rituals, Big Ripple Effects
You don’t need to overhaul your entire life to live more intentionally.
Small, meaningful shifts create powerful momentum.
Maybe it looks like:
-
Swapping a to-do list for a to-feel list once a week
-
Creating an evening ritual that signals your body it’s safe to rest
-
Clearing out one drawer, one closet, one digital folder as a symbolic reset
-
Choosing clothing, textures, and lighting that feel supportive — not performative
-
Letting your home (and calendar) reflect who you’re becoming, not who you were
Design one tiny ritual that supports the version of yourself you’re stepping into in 2026.
It doesn’t need to be loud.
It just needs to be true.
Designing with Clarity Before Construction
If part of your 2026 includes building, remodeling, or reworking your home, clarity matters more than ever.
That’s why we created the Decision Confidence Toolkit — a grounded, step-by-step guide to help you define what matters before construction begins. Because designing your home is really about deciding what matters in your life, your routines, and your nervous system.
When decisions are made from intention instead of stress, everything flows better.
Carrying Intention Forward
As we close this chapter and step into the next, I want you to hear this:
You don’t have to figure it all out.
You just have to plant the seeds.
One breath.
One word.
One brave, aligned decision at a time.
2026 doesn’t need a rushed beginning.
It deserves a conscious one.
Here’s to designing a life you love — with intention, grounding, creativity, and just a little sprinkle of magic.
Green tea cheers to what’s next 🤍
