What an eventful week here in Vegas at Design and Construction week! Jordin and I went to Market the first three days. We saw some great lines of accessories, furniture, artwork, bedding, rugs and more. During the shows, throughout the days, we took pictures of our favorite items and were posting them on Facebook to get peoples responses and we ended up ordering some new items for staging and some items for our interior design clients. There is nothing like seeing product in person.
When the items start to come in and we use them in stagings or deliver them to our clients we will take a picture of them so you can see how they transition from a display at market to clients homes to bring the design concept to life!
We are loving this head board, the fabric is linen and the design is classic. Metallic decorative bowl with blue flecks in it picks up the light and the shape is very interesting. We found color in artwork, we ordered this for staging and cannot wait to use it. We are also loving this chair from Norwalk, a new furniture line we picked up, that’s made in the USA!
IBS Conference Inovation
At the IBS (International Builder’s Show), we met a company who had an artist on staff. He had artwork hanging all over the show room and it was beautiful. I didn’t make the connection form him creating artwork for a company that designed and made bath tubs, until I really started to look around. The bathtubs had his artwork on them. He uses car paint and creates custom artwork on your bath tub. They were beautiful! Texture, mixing tiles, combo master shower and bath tub concepts abound throughout the show. Simple cabinet styles with WOW backsplashes were also present. We made a wonderful connection and are going to carry a new line of tile that we are very excited to find a project to use them on!
We hope you enjoy the preview of what is yet to come in 2015 because we are excited to get back to Des Moines and get started implementing them!
