Goodbye and Thank you 2022!

One of my favorite annual blogs to write every year is our year in review. It gives me time to think and reflect on all of our accomplishments. As a business, we completed our sixth and final HBA Home Show Expo this year. It was an amazing one to go out on, so I want to give a big shout out to Ashtyn and the team for making this happen so successfully! We’ve also been planning for our big move next Spring so stay tuned for more details on that. We recently added vacation rental design to our list of services and we opened a satellite office in Fort Walton Beach, FL. We are so excited to see where this service goes inNot to mention, I think we added a few more states to our map this year for design work completed nationwide! I also asked each employee to share their highlights below…

“Looking back at 2022, I am left feeling so grateful. Grateful for every milestone, and bump in the road. This year has been especially transformative for me in every aspect of life. From graduating college with honors, designing my first show home, and moving to a different state and designing remotely. I can’t wait for what 2023 has in store for me and my Elizabeth Erin Design Family!.”

“Even though I have only been with EED for a few months now I feel like I havenmany highlights but here are just a few

Organizing items and spreadsheets and them staying organized, being able to travel to states for work and seeing nature as I drive and driving the van – I feel too powerful lol. Feeling like my role is important and being told it is, which makes me feel important 🙂

Learning new things – since I began each day I have learned new things
about EED’s work processes and my work family. It is always fun to learn new things!”

“This year I have learned so much personally and professionally. I got to
experience my first Home Show. Working on that was such a fun and cool
learning experience. I also got to attend an Empowered by Connections event with Jodi. This job is always an adventure and I can’t wait to see what 2023 brings!”.

“In March of 2022 I joined the EED team and it’s been great to meet such a
wonderful, talented and dedicated group of ladies. Working at EED has been challenging and rewarding. That moment when I get to see the finished product of the collaborative efforts of the team is a proud and happy moment. Outside of work, I enjoyed a bountiful spring with morel mushroom hunting – one of my favorite spring hobbies. Summer was spent with family and friends at many outdoor pool parties at my son and daughter-in-law’s house. As we approach the end of the year, I am looking forward to spending time with family for the holidays and doing some Christmas baking!” – Deb

“Over my time as an Intern at Elizabeth Erin Designs, I have had many valuable experiences. One of the biggest highlights over the year was getting to be a part of the Des Moines Home Show. I loved spending days installing and talking about our designs as people walked through the house. Another highlight for me was getting real-world experience by having client meetings, learning how to create documents, and communicating between subcontractors and employees. Overall, I am very thankful for Elizabeth Erin Designs and all of the opportunities I have gained over the past couple of months.” -Haylee

“Moving to Florida has opened so many doors and opportunities that I am super excited to share! We are now offering vacation rental assistance. We just finished design selections for a three-story home in Sandestin that I am dying to share, as soon as installation happens! So much to look forward to in 2023!” – Jodi

“Lots of fresh beginnings for 2022! So many projects are being started or about to be started. We worked hard throughout the year to get everything ready for contractors and subcontractors to begin. Anything from a Master Bathroom shower update to finishing a Basement to a whole home refresh. Can’t wait to see all of the spaces completed in 2023!” – Katie

“2022 – Another year has come and gone working with EED and the team.
Looking back on all the projects I’ve worked on during my four-plus years at EED, this year held some of my all-time favorites. This year, I am proud to have grown in my 3D rendering skills and have enjoyed learning more about the “business” side of an interior design business. Lastly, I am grateful that Jodi allows me to work remotely from school, as I finish up my senior year at UNI. A huge thanks to the team for always being flexible, and answering my random FaceTime or zoom meetings about work.” -Marah
