After writing the blog about some of the best design hacks a couple weeks ago, I got inspired to go a little deeper into one hack, contact paper. I have seen so many things buzzing around the internet lately that make use of this product. I love how versatile it is! So I put together a little collection of some of my favorites.
One of the most popular options is using the paper on drawers. Whether that is on the inside, the sides, or the front. Any of the faces can add a fun and decorative element to the piece of furniture.
Another current trend that I have mentioned before are these “drop zones,” a place where you can literally just drop your stuff as you come home. A common feature in these is a calendar. The one pictured above made this their primary element. It is a great way of keeping family schedule, or informing other when you live with multiple people.
A statement feature is actually one of personal favorite ways to use contact paper! I love being able to change it in and out when I want a small change. It also really says a lot about your personality. It is a perfect opportunity for me to put more pink into any space!
A great DIY hack, is using contact paper as your tile backsplash. Whether in the kitchen or bathroom, they come in a variety of colors and patterns. It is a great way to save some money, without losing out on design.
A quick DIY would just be giving a standard tray a face lift. The image above shows how to take an old tray to the next level.
There are so many different options out there. Do a little searching of your own and try something new!
