Independence Day Clean Up

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend. We all certainly did here at Elizabeth Erin Designs. We celebrated our end of quarter two party on Thursday before our long weekend. We will be posting pictures to our Facebook of the event. So we definitely got a jump on celebrating the long weekend. If you’re like us, you probably have accumulated quite a few bottles and cans in the past few days. We always remember to recycle here but wanted to try exploring a few more options of upcycling. Make sure you stick around and check out these awesome upcycling ideas to help clean up your Independence Day mess!

This first idea is a great one if you partied a little harder than the rest of us. If you find yourself with a few too many liquor bottles laying around, consider giving them a good clean and relocating them to the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom. They make great storage for soaps, bath salts, and pretty much anything else you can imagine! Bottles give a charming and unique aesthetic to your design, especially the higher end liquor bottles that tend to be more decorative.

Next, for a more simple approach, round up all of your bottle caps and turn them into cute little coasters. These are perfect for a bar area and durable enough for outside use.

b2

This idea is perfect for those who entertain frequently. Giving your bar some unique flair using your favorite bottles of wine or beer add the perfect touch of color. These can also be turned into a little more 21 years or less appropriate with pop bottles and bottle caps. We absolutely love the backlighting done with the wine bottles.

This last idea is our favorite use of upcycling. Many people may find it difficult to sacrifice room in their backyard for a garden or smaller landscaping. Creating a vertical garden is a perfect substitute and using liters of soda are the perfect size for smaller plants.

Whatever you choose to do with all of your Fourth of July mess, just please make sure to at least recycle all you can. Happy Monday and have a great week!
